Welcome to Aura Psychotherapy. By accessing and using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding with any sessions or consultations.
Professional Standards
Aura Psychotherapy is a registered service provider in Australia. Our counsellor is a professional member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and adheres to all ethical standards required by the association.
Service Delivery
Our services include in-person, online, and phone counselling, all of which are provided at the same rate. Online services are conducted through Zoom, which ensures encrypted and private communication. Payment is required in advance for all remote sessions.
- Zoom Sessions: You are responsible for resolving any technical issues on your end before the session starts. Please be logged in ahead of time.
- Phone Support: Ongoing phone counselling is available at the same rate as face-to-face sessions.
- Confidentiality: Sessions are not recorded without mutual consent. You must not record the session without prior approval and a signed consent form.
Booking and Payment
- Payment is required in advance of all sessions.
- If you need to cancel, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid a cancellation fee. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance, or failure to attend a session, will result in forfeiture of the fee or rescheduling at the counsellor’s discretion.

Refund Policy
Aura Psychotherapy does not offer refunds once services have been provided. If you cancel a session with at least 24 hours’ notice, a full refund may be issued. If technical difficulties prevent the session from taking place, we will work with you to reschedule.
Client Responsibilities
It is your responsibility to ensure that you have a private, safe space for the session and that your technology is working. You must also comply with the signed client contract before starting any sessions.
Confidentiality and File Access
All client information is stored securely in a locked filing cabinet in accordance with ACA guidelines. You have the right to access your clinical notes at any time. In certain legal situations, your records may be subpoenaed as per Australian law.
Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
Sessions can be rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice. Failure to provide adequate notice or attend a scheduled session will result in the session fee being forfeited.
Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with these laws.
Limitations of Service
Aura Psychotherapy is not a crisis service. If you are in immediate danger or require urgent assistance, please contact a crisis support service such as Lifeline at 13 11 14
